How SooraConnect handles your data

1 Who we are

SooraConnect is a mobile-first voucher entry app for accountants and small business owners. It records vouchers on Android and syncs them to TallyPrime running on the user's own Windows PC via a desktop agent.

2 Data we collect

• Account information  EGoogle account name and email from Firebase Authentication.
• Company details  Ecompany name, GSTIN, financial year, base currency.
• Accounting data  Eparty names, voucher numbers, voucher dates, voucher amounts, tax amounts, ledger names, stock item lines, payable / receivable balances, sync status.
• Agent connectivity metadata  Elast-seen time, Tally reachability, sync queue length.
• Device and log information  Ebasic technical logs used to diagnose sync failures (no contact lists, no photos, no location).

3 Why we collect it

• To authenticate users and enforce role-based access per company.
• To display the user's own accounting data inside the app.
• To sync user-created entries between mobile, cloud, the desktop agent, and TallyPrime.
• To detect duplicates and surface sync failures.
• To diagnose problems reported by users and improve reliability.

4 Where data is stored

• Firebase Authentication for sign-in.
• Cloud Firestore for company data, vouchers, and sync state  Eregion asia-south1 (Mumbai).
• FastAPI backend on Google Cloud Run  Eregion asia-south1 (Mumbai).
• Desktop agent runs on the user's own Windows PC and connects locally to TallyPrime. Tally data itself stays on the user's machine.

5 Sharing

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not share accounting data with advertisers.
• Data is shared with Google / Firebase / Google Cloud only as infrastructure providers strictly required to run the service.

6 Retention & deletion

Data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time:

• Open the app drawer → Delete Account.
• Account deletion removes your Firebase Auth user, your user document, and all your company memberships.

If you cannot access the app, you can also email us and we will delete the account on your behalf.

7 Security

• Authentication via Google Sign-In / Firebase Auth  Eno passwords are stored by SooraConnect.
• HTTPS for all communication between the mobile app, the backend, and the desktop agent.
• The desktop agent connects outbound to the cloud  Eno inbound router ports are opened.
• Per-company role enforcement at the app and API layer.

8 Contact form submissions

When you fill the contact form on our landing page, we store your name, email, phone, pincode, city, state, and your message in a private Firestore collection, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string. The owner reviews submissions directly in the admin console and replies from sooraconnect@gmail.com.

We use this information only to reply to your enquiry and provision a demo if requested. We do not add you to any marketing list, share the data with third parties, or use it to profile you. You can ask us to delete your submission any time by emailing the address above.

9 Children

SooraConnect is a business productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.

10 Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app.
